Peaky Blinders Styled Shoot

Hey there L&L followers!

We are so excited to share photos and our behind the scenes scoop from an awesome styled shoot that we were a part of at The Howey Mansion! Huge thank you goes out to the lovely ladies at For the Love of Events... They were incredible, and as you can see in the photos, their vision is AMAZING and was captured beautifully by Lilly and Lilly Photography. Quick shout out to our gorgeous models, as well as Brie and Brie with the hair and makeup.

Can we talk about the mansion just for a minute (again)... I may be biased since I myself am getting married there this year (yay!), but I really think this is the most unique venue in Central Florida. It is full of incredible Florida history, and it is the perfect setting for a wedding. Not only is the mansion gorgeous, but the staff is absolutely amazing as well, it is definitely worth planning a short drive out to Howey-in-the-Hills and taking a historic tour! Another plus is that since they are a Lavender & Lace preferred vendor, our Howey Mansion brides get big discounts when they book with us!

When April and Amanda from For the Love of Events FL, asked us to be a part of this styled shoot we were so excited! They expressed their vision for a peaky blinders themed shoot, and Stephanie and I were absolutely thrilled. The Howey Mansion is definitely the perfect place for a Peaky Blinders themed anything, and we have to mention our good friends over at Ocean Hawks Rentals who have the greatest collection of vintage furniture and decor pieces that just seem to be at home at the beautiful mansion.

We wanted to showcase versatility in our arrangements, and bring the drama through the rich purple tones and dark greenery. We used garland full of various types of greenery with deep purple and white flowers for the fire place, table centerpiece, and on the window in the outside seating cove. Fun fact, the fireplace does not actually have a full mantle, so Stephanie grabbed a piece of plywood to set the garland on to give the illusion on a full mantle. You can't even tell!

The Ceremony "scene" yielded some of my favorite shots. I love the fire place as the focal point, and the gorgeous light coming off of the candles on those antique candle sticks (from Ocean Hawks Rentals)... So dreamy! We accented the gorgeous black chairs from Orlando Wedding and Party Rentals with some greenery tied with ivory ribbon, and some glass cylinders with floating candles. The gorgeous bridal bouquet was full of deep purple peonies, rich greenery, and accented with various white blooms.

I also loved the way that the ladies from For the Love of Events styled the dining room. That is one of my favorite rooms at the Mansion, and I think the table settings and decor complemented the theme and style of the mansion perfectly. We used the a garland for the table centerpiece as well, again accented by those antique candle sticks. At the end of the room on the buffet you can see a taller floral arrangement pulling the same colors from the rest of the designs.

We had so much fun working with all of these great vendors, and are thrilled with the gorgeous photos. If you are interested in having Lavender & Lace design the florals at your next wedding or event make sure to contact us through the website.
